The world’s best-selling brandy continued to witness disappointing sales, which tumbled by 3.2% to 27.1m cases in 2017. However it still remains to in the top five of the world’s best-selling spirits brands, across all categories.
Brand owner Alliance Global Group is planning an “aggressive push” for new products for the domestic and international markets. The brand is also benefitting from “increasing share of millennial drinks” in its domestic market, the Philippines. Emperador Brandy is now being marketed in 51 countries, and is on its way to becoming a global brand, according to the company.
